Day 1                Arrival and city tour in Reykjavik: Viking World Museum, old town center, Althing, Cathedral, Hallgrimskirkja Church, Sun Voyager sculpture, City Hall, Hoefthi House, Oeskjuhlith Hill, Perlan viewpoint and the harbor. Blue Lagoon on Reykjanes Peninsula. Fosshotel or other accommodation.

Day 2                  Snaefellsnes Peninsula: lava fields, volcanoes, Snaefellsjokull Glacier, yellow and black sand beaches, mineral springs, Gertuberg basalt columns, Arnarstapi Harbor and seal colony. Fosshotel in Stykkisholmur or other accommodation.

Day 3              View of fjords and snow-capped peaks on the way to Akureyri. Botanical Gardens and city center with fine timber buildings and various shops in Akureyri. 2 nights in the Icelandair Hotel or similar accommodation in Akureyri.

Day 4              Day trip to historic herring-fishing town of Siglufjorthur past the Hethinsfjorthur Tunnel.  Herring Era Museum and art galleries in Siglufjorthur. Return to to Akureyri via the villages of Olafsfjorthur and Dalvik.

Day 5              On the way to Egilsstathir: Lake Myvatn, Gothafoss Waterfall, pseudo craters at Skutustathir and lava formations at Dimmuborgir. Icealndair Herard or similar hotel in Egilsstathir.

Day 6              Drive through the remote Eastfjords Region, view of fjords and mountains, wild reindeer herds and the Icelandic War Museum in Reytharfjorthur. 4 nights in Hofn Hotel or similar accommodation in Hofn.

Day 8              Boat ride at Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon and trekking in Skaftafell National Park.
